How I Work With Students

I stand behind, "Come As You Are," in all the parts you want to explore in a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space. Let's look at your hopes, fears, fantasies, trauma, dreams, struggles, triumphs, pain, success, and mistakes. My integrative belief is that all people have a right to be accepted, included, seen and heard.

I work with all students and have a specialty in working with students through the following approaches and ways:  Strength-based, Multicultural, Acculturation, Cognitive Behavioral Health, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Body Image/Self-Esteem, Crisis Support, and Social Justice. I have had the honor of working collaboratively with those who have experienced psychosis, depression, trauma, anxiety and mood disturbance therapy.

About Me

I identify as African American and Okinawan American. I have spent most of my life in the Bay Area (25), Humboldt (14), and now Davis (7). I have a Master of Social Work from CSULB, and a Bachelor of Sociology from Cal Poly Humboldt with a minor in Ethnic Studies. I come with 26 years' working in community mental health, child welfare, foster youth, and forensic mental health. Away from work I enjoy running, hiking, yoga, reading, cooking, and traveling.
