Bio

Focus

Shantille enjoys projects that allow her to collaborate with multiple campus partners to initiate campus-wide changes that better support students' health and well-being. She is passionate about intentionally embedding well-being in social, academic and built environments. Some of her current projects focus on weight stigma and size inclusivity, academic well-being, and cultivating a safe transportation environment.

M.P.H. - San Diego State University
B.S. - UC Davis, Human Development

Prior Professional Experience

Shantille received her B.S. in Human Development from UC Davis. Before attending San Diego State University for her MPH in Health Promotion and Behavioral Science, she worked at the Health Education Council in West Sacramento providing health education to local preschools. During her time at the San Diego State University, she worked as graduate coordinator in the Health Promotion Department and developed a peer-led nutrition basics and cooking skills course for college students. 

Shantille continued working at San Diego State after receiving her MPH in 2014 then returned to UC Davis in 2015 to work at Health Education and Promotion, where she focuses on supportive campus environments. During her 8+ years at UC Davis, she has led campus and community coalitions, supervised student staff, and advocated for campus-wide policy and institutional practices that support student health and well-being. Shantille is passionate about size inclusivity, advocacy, student-centered approaches, and how our environments impact our health and well-being.
