Financial and Legal Well-Being

The AB540 and Undocumented Student Center hosts several finanical opportunities that include:

Grants and scholarships to support access to basic needs support (emergent needs, rent, legal filing fees, etc.) and reward outstanding community service, scholastic achievement, leadership, etc.

Referrals to free immigration legal support from the UC Immigrant Legal Services Center (UCIMM) for a number of services (DACA renewal, know your rights information, family-based petitions, etc.)

  • Currently enrolled students and their immediate family members (parents, siblings, children, spouses, and fiancés) are able to receive free immigration legal advice through our UC Immigrant Legal Services Center (UCIMM) for a number of services (including intake screening for various forms of immigration relief, green card applications, etc.). 
  • Currently enrolled UC Davis students can schedule virtual appointments with our Legal Fellow. Students interested in receiving this support can schedule by using this free online appointment system. The online appointment system is broken into 2 categories: 1-hour appointments for DACA Renewals and 1-hour appointments  for all other immigration consultations (including for family or first time DACA applications).

Mental Well-Being 

Referrals to Undocu-friendly and competent mental health providers 

  • Currently enrolled UC Davis students can receive individual counseling services from our partners at Counseling Services; interested students can ask the AB540 staff to connect them with partner clinicians. These clinicians work specifically with the AB540 and Undocumented Student Center and can answer questions regarding mental health services and support on campus. 
  • Students can also schedule an appointment with a provider via Health-e-Messaging

Together We Rise Support Group

  • "Together we rise away from colonization and the negative impacts it has bestowed onto us” is an affirming space led by our mental health partners for Undocumented Immigrant folx to come together and create community, de-stress, and process our experiences & traumas. This support group will meet every first and third Monday of the month from 1-2pm. You can join our support group called Together We Rise

 

  • Immigrants Rising Mental Health Connector provides undocumented young people with psychological support, allowing them to access their strengths and resiliency in order to achieve their personal goals and healing.

  • Each Aggie Matters offers UC Davis student-centric mental health resources, self-care tips, crisis support services and more!

  • For questions about mental health services based on your location and insurance provider, review this page for helpful information. The Community Advising Network (CAN) is a team of counselors who are here to help students achieve their goals and address factors that may be affecting their academic success.

 

Social Well-Being
  • The AB540 and Undocumented Student Center Resources/Services Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) includes information on internships, mental health resources, tuition and other resources. 
  • As leaders at UC Davis, Community Advocates and Graduate Student Researchers create programs, events, and resources for the community. Check out the list of offerings each quarter. 
  • The UC Davis Safe Party website features tips for socializing/partying safely as well as various resources, including Aggies For Recovery -- a UC Davis support group.  
  • The Center for Student Involvement helps connect students to hundreds of student-run organizations. Find an org and get involved today!

 

Academic/Professional Well-Being 

The AB540 and Undocumented Student Center

  • Educational initiatives are listed under the Training & Internships  tab, offering connection opportunities for students to existing resources and professional development (i.e. Mentorship & Professional Development, Speakers Bureau fellowship, etc.)
  • Individual consultation + appointments through the Director and Assistant Director provide support for resume writing, negotiation, interview preparation, resource referrals, and much more.
